The Nextdoor interview experience is so disorganized-- it was a disappointing introduction to the company that made me lose interest in continuing my interview. I was juggled between 2 recruiters, one of whom completely dropped off communication and was not able to manage scheduling my initial interview due to workload. This made me wonder whether working at the company would feel equally as unstructured and chaotic.
The interview process itself was straightforward and quite impersonal. The interviewer did not take time for introductions to get to know me as a candidate. Does this translate into the company potentially lacking in culture and authenticity?
I recommend Nextdoor to invest more in developing a better interview experience for candidates--specifically focusing on: 1) efficient scheduling and HR processes so avoid wasting candidate time, and 2) training interviewers/ HR to start communicating the culture/ product/ structure/ values of the company. I unfortunately did not feel I got a sense of that at all.

Round 1: Recruiter screen, round 2: manager screen, round 3: take-home assignment with virtual presentation to three interviewers that included the hiring manager. Interviewers listened and asked questions throughout the presentations.

HR reached out to a 30 min phone chat. Typical generic behavioral questions, some around their products to get a sense of your interests and familiarity with the product.
Said in the interview that will update if getting to the next round with HM. But they completely ghosted me and never replied to any follow up emails I sent.
Terrible experience and recruiting practice.

Had a great interview experience overall. The on-site loop consisted of your standard product loop with very relevant case studies. Very good recruiter experience as well, as everyone was very responsive and very accommodating in setting up interview schedules. Would interview again with them.
