This was a very odd interview... the hiring manager was at times scolding me, supporting me, and joking with me. After she basically told me off, I figured there was no way I was getting a second interview, but then the tone of the interview suddenly changed to being more positive, and I was told I was moving on to the second interview, which was then scheduled. I was told they were planning to hire by the middle of November and there would be 4-5 interviews in total. A day before my second interview, it was cancelled and I was informed they were changing their hiring process. I didn't receive responses to either of my follow-up emails, then received a rejection email that informed me they'd already hired someone before they could go through the applicants. Which means someone else was at least three or four interviews in before they hired me. I'm so confused.
