The process started strong. The initial phone screen and hiring manager conversation were positive and well-organized. Things unraveled from there.
The take-home assignment was described as "up to 3 hours," but it took closer to 7-8 hours due to the expected volume and depth of questions. I also had to reach out a few times to gain access to the data and files they wanted me to reference. After submitting, I presented the work in a one-hour session with the hiring manager and a few team members, which was rigorous but fair.
The CEO round was a different story. I arrived early; he left the office for roughly 20 minutes and joined late, cutting the meeting nearly in half. We then rushed through what felt like 20-25 rapid-fire questions spanning AI knowledge, personality, and self-awareness.
After completing a full reference check, I was ghosted for two weeks. I followed up once and received a rejection shortly after with no substantive feedback.
If you're considering applying: the team seems sharp, and the early-stage conversations are worthwhile, but be prepared for a process that undersells your time and leaves you in the dark at the end.

I went through multiple interview rounds, including discussions with team members, the CEO, and a full reference check process. Communication became very inconsistent afterward, with long periods of silence and repeated follow-ups required to get updates. At one point, the role appeared to be paused internally, then restarted later after another hire left. The process ultimately felt disorganized and unclear from a hiring perspective.

Four elements to this interview.
My initial phone screening - which went well.
Meeting with a couple of members of the team + HR - which also went well, although they seemed distracted.
Then the "take-home", which asked for a full media plan based off an existing client (one of the case studies on their website), which I found somewhat disingenuous. I completed the project, which was supposed to take "3 hours max" - a full media plan should always take longer than three hours to put together, and they didn't provide all the data required to build out a comprehensive plan.
The next meeting was to go through the plan, and it was a complete disconnect. They seemed dubious of my approach - I believe because they already had an approach with the client and accepted it as gospel, and wanted to hire someone who approached the problem the way that they did.
Didn't get to the next step in the process, but didn't expect to. Overall, a let down.
