1. over the phone, nothing specific background and knowledge check 2. all day 4 hours. I talked to 4 folks. I have extensive programming and software dev background along with IT BA experience. I am front and back end engineer working with JAva and javascript. I am the owner of 80 eCommerce websites that i have developed myself. Passed all tests on the interview. Did't get the job with reference to my age. They said:"they were looking for someone more senior". So die your hair, grow mustache and beard, put old glasses and smell funky to get the job. So be aware, they are looking for senior slackers that have no idea about up to date modern app development that major market (big companies like paypal, walmart) follows. i had 200% match for the job description(experience in top name banks and skills) and what they initially were asking for during the interview ( ITBA person with IT BA skills that can code with Angular, Javascript on front end and back end.) Senior lead developer during interview asked only JAVA questions, LOL and once he asked me to introduce him and explain java script concept of app dev development, i was shocked with that he did not know anything about it, and that javascript can be executed on the server (he looked at me and sounded weird like i am an idiot telling him a joke) and he had no clue about new modern frameworks (bootstrap, magento, wordpress, SEO) seriously ?
