After finding the company website, I inquired about any available job openings via email and resume. The owner asked to meet with me in person two days later. I met with the owner 1-on-1, who described the basics of the position and asked if I wanted the job. A very atypical interview process; I though maybe I just had a very impressive resume and backed it up when meeting in person. However, after witnessing several other employment inquiries, this method is the norm. There are no background checks, no drug screenings, maybe a verification of employ-ability via references. You simple show up, work for nothing for a probationary period, then you will be a paid employee unless you are a completely inept with zero competency.
