After filling out a very long and detailed online application, which mirrors the information in the resume you are submitting, you have to fill in another paper application, with all of the same information on your online application and resume when you arrive for the interview. The interviews themselves are fine. The wheels fall off after the fact. I applied for several jobs over the course of two years of unemployment. I interviewed for three or four different positions during that time. Each time I had multiple rounds of interviews. The process took weeks, months. I would talk to the NSLIJ recruiter a couple of times a week. Then, when it got down to the bitter end...silence. Suddenly calls were not returned. Emails were not returned. No rejection, just completely ignored. I think I got a proper rejection letter only once, about 9 months after my last interview. About 6 months ago, I was called out of the blue by a recruiter about a new job. Against my better judgement, given how discourteously I had been treated, I agreed to a phone interview the next day. I am now working again and set time aside from my schedule for it. The recruiter finally called an hour after we had agreed to speak with a vague, "Oh sorry, got pulled away." I told him I was no longer interested in the position. A wise person once said, "If they treat you badly during the interview process, imagine how badly they'll treat you once you work there."
