I Received an email that I was chosen to do an over the phone Video type interview. Two weeks after that I was asked to come in for a face to face with the department manager and shift supervisors. The Interview I thought went very well, so I thought. A few days after the interview I sent the recruiter an email to thank them for the interview opportunity and to request feedback on the status of the position. I never received a response nor did I get an email blast ( which I felt was a small courtesy that a very large and professional organization like Northwestern Medicine could do for candidates to let them know they were no longer being considered) after another week or so went by I reached out to the recruiter to inquire about the status of the position,only to be told that the recruiter was no longer with the company and the candidates that they were working with were being handled by someone else. I explained that I had interviewed over the phone as well as in person and I really just wanted to see if the position was still available and if I was still being considered. I provided my name and contact info and was told that they would find out and contact me back. I waited another week or so and called HR again to check on the status, already realizing that apparently I did not get the position but still kind of hoping that I may have just fallen through the cracks with the initial recruiter whom is now no longer with the company. The young lady that answered in HR pretty much told me that if I had not heard back from anyone and if the requisition was no longer showing active the position was filled. Although not the outcome I wanted to hear I guess it was better than hearing nothing at all. As a courtesy to your candidates, a simple email would have sufficed.
