First round was the typical phone screening with their internal recruiters (asking the usual questions like working experience, expected salary, current salary, notice period, etc), however they refused to disclose their salary range when I asked about it, stating that it is P&C (should’ve chosen not to proceed with the interview not to waste my time to be honest)
Then the interview process was followed by a face to face interview (in their office) with their hiring manager. The hiring manager was friendly and mostly only asked about my understanding towards this role, and whether if I’m ok with a “repetitive job”. However she outright told me that she would prefer to hire a male for this role just because her team members are all females💀💀
(And also kinda frowned on me upon hearing that my notice period is 2 months..)
The interview ended with a written Japanese language assessment (which was super challenging compared to my ex-company and my current company’s assessment).
Also as what other reviews here have said, they’ll ghost you after the interview if they’re not interested in you and republish the vacancy after a few weeks, so I guess it’s true that they’re looking for “unicorns” as per what some reviews here have said.
