I don't know how many recruitment agencies Nucleus is outsourcing to but I was getting calls from recruiters at all times during the day asking if I was willing to go to their "interview drive" on Saturday. Finally I accepted to go for Java Developer TL profile. When I reached the destination, the HR woman asked me to fill out 2 long forms (this much effort even before first round of interview). After filling out the forms, I had to wait 2+ hours for the interviewer to "show up". Finally he showed up and called my name. I sat down and he asked me to talk about myself. Then he proceeded to ask me 2 very tough architect level questions and asked me "how to code it"? When I started writing the code, he asked "What are you doing?" I told him I am coding like he asked and he rudely said "This is not the right answer, this interview is ended. Its obvious you don't know about 'basic' architecture questions." And kept whispering to me "Please 'brush up', 'brush up'". When I said I didn't apply for Architecture role in the first place and where is it written in my resume that I am qualified to be an architect, he changed his tune and said "These are basic questions and you are supposed to know them." I told him its not the first time I am interviewing and no-one asks these questions but he kept insisting "No, no". Finally I got tired of arguing with him and requested him to return my resume since I had been duped into applying for the architectural role. And he said "Talk to mam" gesturing towards the HR woman. When I went to the HR woman discussing that I had been cheated to apply for the wrong position and wasted half of my weekend, she tried to pin it on the recruiter saying "Its not our fault". So I said, please return my resume and the forms. Even here, she started fighting with me for no reason saying "its not our policy". Finally when she realized that I was within my rights to get my resume back, she handed it to me saying "I cannot return you the 2 forms because 'these are Nucleus documents'" and "I will tear up your resume if you ask me to return the forms". After returning my forms, she was so frustrated, she said "I have never encountered such bad attitude and I will give you negative feedback." I told her to go ahead. Later I questioned the recruiter why she had given me the wrong job profile and she talked to the HR woman and called me back crying that they are pinning the blame on her and she is going to get into trouble. This is the "attitude" of HR woman in Nucleus. Who is giving the negative feedback now?
