I recently applied for a job through LinkedIn and needed to take a test on Testlify before talking to anyone from the company. The test had multiple choice questions, a coding task, and required me to record audio and video responses.
I ran into problems during the coding part because certain keyboard shortcuts like {, [, ], and } didn't work. This made it really hard for me to code properly and made me less interested in the test and the job.
I also don't see why the audio and video questions are necessary if someone is going to review them later. It seems like a lot for just a first test and isn't very user-friendly.
This whole experience made me think about the company's hiring process. If they don't even have a little time to interact with applicants personally, I wonder how much they value their potential employees.
