Very unprofessional. Without putting out any names, I'll try to get straight to the point: the individual interviewing me for the Legal Administrative Assistant position mentioned that I didn't have the necessary writing skills for the Legal Admin role, and when I clarified that this was key in my educational and work experience, she tried to say that I didn't have the "creative writing skills needed." In another instance, the interviewer said that I lacked the marketing skills needed in for the Legal Administrative Role. No where in the recruiting process or in the role description did it mention that a legal admin needed "creative" writing experience or "marketing skills". Then, when I mentioned this to her, she said, "Well we have 4 different types of positions for this role..." At the end, I don't know whether it was out of a "sense of sympathy", she conveyed that she would reach out to me if there was an opening more suitable for me. I told her that would be okay, but since things are moving fast, I would not be available as I had some job offers on the table. She continued to ask me, "[Oh,] from what companies?" I had to kindly remind this interviewer that "it was "confidential because I [am] here for an interview with Omni." Highly unprofessional and condescending experience.
