Process took 3 weeks and HR reached out to setup interviews immediately. There were 3 interviewers . The role reported into a consultant which was unusual. The other two interviewers were with execs with the company that was acquired which was unusual as well because they are not the main company.
The last VP exec was combative claiming the role was responsible for revenue strategy however, its a mid level role not responsible for creating any revenue strategy but ensuring targets are hit. Strategy is created by higher level exec mgt. at VP level not the mid level role. It appeared he was looking for solutions but overall lacked understanding of M&A. He was dismissive of my experience and seemed too competitive. He was unprofessional.
