I applied through college or university. First-round was screening round through HireVue. There I had to give an answer to a few questions and record a video. After that, I received an email for the video interview through Hire Vue. They had rescheduled the interview the day before the interview and scheduled next week. The video interview was with the director, she came 5minutes late and asked a few technical questions and asked to write SQL queries and Data Structure programs in the chat window of Hire Vue. Who write a program on the chat board??!! It was very pathetic. If you want a candidate to write a program, you could have sent the programming test/assessment, there a candidate can write a program in a better way. If you want a candidate to write a program in front of you, then also you can send a link of any online programming tool. While I was giving an answer or explanation of my program, the lady was continuously writing something, and then she asked to repeat my answer, every time. What a non-professional way!! If you want to listen to your candidate, then pay attention to him. This is not the way to take an interview. At the end of the interview, she asked me if I have any questions, I asked about the work environment and asked if they are organizing any event on the coming teachers' day(teachers' day was coming soon at that time). Again she asked me to repeat the question and then told I even don't know the teacher's day is coming!! After one week of the interview, when I didn't hear anything, I sent an email to HR to get an update on my application. Still, I didn't get a reply. If you moved forward with another candidate, please let us know the status, so we don't wait for an answer.
