The entire process was way too long. They bring you out with one of the employees on a typical work day and that employee takes you to a Best Buy in a sketchy part of Chicago. It lasts all day and all night. The process started at 11 in the morning and we weren’t finished until after 10 at night.
Thanks for your feedback, regarding the second round interview, this is an opportunity to see the role on a voluntary basis, you can leave at any time and the choice is yours if you do not want to sign and agree to shadow a representative, we do our best to make this clear in the paperwork candidates sign personally. Regards.

After a phone interview I was chosen for an in person interview. I was notified that the interview would be 9 hours long and would end at 8:00 pm. I arrived at the office and was taken to a Best Buy that was over half an hour away from the office. I was not notified prior to the interview that we would be leaving the office and traveling to another town. I wanted to leave during the interview but I was so far away from the city I was unsure of how to get back and felt a bit trapped. There was no compensation for travel costs. I ended up paying for a cta day pass and two uber rides. We arrived back at the office at 9:45 which was almost two hours later than the initial plan. I sat down with a manager and had to take a quiz of what I had learned throughout the day. The manager offered me the position which I expressed interest in but did not verbally commit to. After I left around 10:15 I went home and never heard from the company again. Nobody emailed me anything to follow up about anything regarding the position or on boarding etc. I recommend disclosing to applicants via email prior to the second interview that they will be taken offsite to a Best Buy/ Walmart in another town and that applicants will be expected to pay for transportation costs. I also recommend disclosing that the position is commission based/unpaid prior to the interview.

Okay, my experience was kind of fishy. The first interview went great, the hiring manager was extremely friendly and truly gave me a good impression about the company. I got invited to the second round interview, which was scheduled to be 3 days later and was supposed to be a full day thing (11 am- 8 pm). Unfortunately, the next day I began feeling very ill (later found out I had strep throat ) and was really not in a good shape to attend the second round interview at the top of my game especially because it lasted the whole day and I'd have to interact with customers (not hygienic at all). So I called the company a day in advance at 9:20 am (they open at 9 am) to inform about my situation and ask if I could reschedule. No one answered so I left a voicemail and left them my phone number.
After going to the doctor that same morning and still not having received a call back, I emailed the organization around 1 pm to the email they gave me and waited. It was now past 3 pm and they close at 5, so I decided to call again and, well, no one answered again. I left another voicemail and never heard back.
I would have understood if it was a big inconvenience to reschedule my interview and for that I lost my chance to get the job, but the fact that NO ONE ever answered my calls/email nor got back to me (it has been about 3 weeks since this incident) makes me feel vey weary about the credibility of this company. If there is something every company must have is SOME kind of customer service via phone/email, and I got none. I was left with a very negative impression and fearful that this company might not be who they say they are. Otherwise, why so much mystery?
