I was involved in a total of three interviews. The first was over the phone with HR (you could schedule the time via a link), the second was in person with the hiring manager and their manager, and the third was a virtual team meeting. After the second interview, I was requested to complete a scenario that was provided by email later that day. I was offered the position via email ~10 minutes after the third interview completed. The total time from applying to the job from the verbal offer was a little under 4 weeks. I spoke with HR over the phone to discuss next steps, which involved submitting references and completing a background check. From there, they let me know that the offer letter would be issued with onboarding steps after the references and background check clears. That process took 1 business day to complete where I received the offer letter. Their I9 process is done a little differently than I am familiar with, where they want it completed before the first day of employment. The times offered were a little tough (10am or 2pm) but the recruiting team was willing to accommodate a different time. The next steps were to log into their portal to update personal information and whatnot, but I did not make it that far... Here's where my experience became a negative one: Two days after receiving the formal offer letter, I received an email from the hiring manager's manager requesting an urgent call back, where they informed me that they were changing directions with the role and were rescinding my offer. Considering I had just given my current employer my notice of resignation, I found this sudden change retraction and disregard of candidate's lives completely unprofessional. This chain of events has made my lose any trust or desire to consider any positions in the future with them. My advice to anyone who wants to consider working for this company: Ensure you have push your start date to give yourself come cushion time to provide your notice and ensure you are indeed confirmed for your onboarding in case they decide to pull back on their decision.
