My experience with OpenGov was very disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and communication throughout the hiring process. The recruiter was highly responsive and persistent when scheduling interviews and requesting information, but once the interviews were completed on their end or they no longer need you, communication stopped entirely.
The interview process itself felt disorganized, with unclear expectations and coordination issues. Despite having what I believed were positive interviews and receiving encouraging feedback during the process, I was ultimately ghosted without any update, rejection, or explanation regarding the outcome.
While I understand that hiring decisions can change, candidates deserve timely and transparent communication. Being left without any follow-up after investing significant time and effort in multiple interviews reflects poorly on the company's recruiting practices.

My interview experience was very positive overall. The interviewers were friendly, professional, and very understanding throughout the process, which helped create a comfortable and welcoming environment.
The hiring process consisted of two interview rounds. In the first round, the discussion focused on my educational background, academic projects, technical skills, and career interests. The interviewer took the time to understand my experiences and asked relevant questions about my coursework and practical projects.
The second round was more technical in nature. The questions primarily covered SQL and Front-End Development concepts. I was asked about SQL queries, database fundamentals, joins, and data retrieval techniques. On the front-end side, the discussion included topics related to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and general web development concepts. The interviewers were supportive and encouraged me to explain my thought process while answering technical questions.
Overall, the interview was well-structured, engaging, and conducted in a professional manner. The interviewers were approachable and genuinely interested in understanding my skills and potential rather than simply testing technical knowledge. It was a great experience, and I appreciated the positive and respectful interaction throughout the process.
