Hiring process started with a call from the HR specialist asking some qualifying questions on experience, salary range and comfort level working in a high pace start up environment. The next call was with the Managing Director. This call was more detailed on experiences on how success was achieved in previous roles, importance of customer engagement and knowledge of the current market. This was followed up with another call with the Director of customer engagement and the interview was also along the same lines. Again very specific questions were asked on how sales was improved in the past, what techniques were used, what level of the customer was engaged. Finally they flew me in for a face to face interview with both the MD and Customer Director. Here in a casual setup discussion was around selling software vs, hardware, how to open new markets, and how to engage the CxO level.
