Had an HR screening, then interview with managers, finally with dpt head. However, after that, I was asked on a 1-2 day notice to come to their local office in Croatia and have a 30 min talk with the office director. Waited for this gentleman for a full hour, he stated right away he didn't even read my cv and asked many odd and very personal questions that have nothing to do with the ability to do the actual job. Some of those question (e.g. how many children I have and how many am I planning to have and when) are illegal to ask a woman during the job interview as it promotes disadvantage. He tried to justify it by wanting to communicate "the benefit" - "if a woman goes on maternity leave, she doesn't have to work". Surprised by that statement, I asked if they even have women working here at all. He replied that there are some women working here, but doesn't know if that's a good thing for me as "us women sometimes don't like working with other women." There were more oddities here, but overall rude, unprofessional and I am quite happy I don't have to work with these people.
