Initial stage was a series of games which took over two hours. Then was a recruiter interview in which they asked about motivation and tested understanding of the role of quant researcher and what it will involve

What skills are needed to succeed as quant researcher?

Entrevista
First two rounds consisted of playing typical EV games with some capital (dice questions, cards, market making). Followed by take home assignment involving data science/ML. Then meet with researchers at optiver to discuss work.

Given 3 minutes, what would you buy here and how much would you allocate?
Friendly interviewer, intense online assessment. Online assessment covered probability questions on mostly expected values, and stochastic probability. There is a finite deadline to complete it. This is then continued with a behavioural interview if you pass, that can be booked online.
