After my interview, they said I must get the ACSM current certification, for which I have had since 1993, but ACSM has changed the name of this certification at least 4 times since I received it. I believe ACSM and Optum are working together to require these certifications, for which there is no job after you get it. I was completely dumbfounded that they would require the same certification that I have had, and I have 30 years of experience with my Master's. This is corrupt and should be stopped. If you have a degree, do not get any certifications. Let's fight these organizations that are continually keeping us under their thumb for their financial benefit.
