It is a multi-level-marketing firm, where the new hires start as underpaid ($300-$500/week) door-to-door sales reps, selling Verizon services and products. The earnings of the people above them are contingent on the number of sales reps that can be recruited and retained. The job offer was misleading, the interviewers dodged specific answers to my questions, and the hours would have been HORRIBLE (11am-7pm, Monday-Saturday). They offer no travel compensation, and earnings are 100% commission. If they had been upfront about their position, perhaps they wouldn't waste the time of many disgruntled professionals, not looking for this type of business. If it wasn't a poor business model, why would you have to hide behind a curtain of deceit?
