This hiring and interview process started with finding this posting on craigslist. I was shocked that the company did not require any educational background in order to be a "teacher". Having this peak my interest, I filled out an online application. I was then e-mailed a response that I had made it to the next round. This consisted of 4 short videos outlining some basics about the company, job description and expectations. You were instructed to fill out an online questionnaire and essays about your beliefs as well as your salary expectations and availability. A few days later I was given one time slot for a phone interview. The interviewer was completely impersonal and sounded like a robot. She commented that they like to start their employees at the minimum of $12 an hour, unless the employee has extensive education. The more I learned about this company, the more suspicious I became. I was invited for a "face-to-face" interview and was expected to adjust my schedule to meet their last minute needs. At the interview there was a music ability test, music theory test and behavioral questions.
