I want to commend the zoo on a hiring practice that made me feel appreciative, even though I didn't actually land an interview. You see, when I applied to this position, I later got a polite email refusal which additionally listed how many applicants applied to it (Well over a hundred for that position alone). Knowing exactly how competitive this process was really softened the blow for getting rejected, and a lot of employers don't even give an email saying that you didn't make the cut. Frankly, the hiring manager went above and beyond with getting back to people. Well done.
