For the first interview round, they ask about your experience and yourself. Briefly explain how you take the position and how can it fit with the role. The head of marketing, was the one taking the interview.

This is the most ridiculous process I’ve ever had. A total waste of time. First of all, when I applied I received a rejection immediately. Felt like their system would send rejections instead of submission confirmations. Two weeks later I got an email apologising for that and that they will actually process my application properly during the week. Anyway I did 4 out of 5 stages: 1) screening call 2) a stage where you submit your live videos of answering some simple tech questions 3) an actual tech call 4) a team interview. Everything that was left was just the call with the founders. On all the interviews I got positive feedback, right on the interview the people would say I am doing really great and gave advices on next stages. But something was not right. Just before the 4th interview I wrote to HR that my availability would be spotty since I will be travelling for medical reasons. Just as a courtesy because I felt like it’s nice to notify about that. No response. Same message next week to checkin, HR went on vacation and didn’t even say anything. Wrote to hiring manager, silence. So I had to write again once she came back from vacation. And I got a rejection template message. We are sorry but we chose another candidate. This is insanity. I don’t understand why you cannot even provide any proper feedback at this point. This is disrespectful and a waste of time.

I applied online. Approximately 1-2 weeks later, I received an email from their People & Culture Manager, inviting me to book "an interview to get to know each other better and explore your fit within the team". The call was interesting and encouraging. I was informed I would be sent a case study with some questions to answer and advised to not spend more than 1 hour or so on it. I thought this was unusual and premature as case studies usually happen at the third stage, after the hiring manager interview, not directly after the first screening call. To provide quality answers took me closer to 3 hours as there were quite a few deep questions. I invested this time as I had a positive feeling about the role and company. I was under the impression that I was on the shortlist and would receive an opportunity to discuss my answers. Despite answering the questions within a few days, I did not receive acknowledgment of sending them, or any feedback. A few days later, I sent a follow up email but never received a reply. Approximately 1-2 weeks later, I received a brief, impersonal, automated rejection. Despite an initially good first impression, the lasting impression was that of an asymmetrical experience where much more is expected of the candidate than is provided in return from the company. I would recommend they improve the balance and sequence of the recruitment process.
