Entrevista
One on one interview - basic getting to know me and my personality, customer service skills, what I already knew about the wine industry and some information given about the industry.
after applying on line i was called for a preliminary telephone interview, which was basically to assess my availability interest and prior experience. The young lady with whom i was spoke was friendly and personable and the experience was professional and low stress. After the initial phone interview a one on one interview was scheduled. I was to meet my interviewer at a local restaurant, where myself and several other applicants were interviewed separately. The interview was pretty basic, I was asked about prior sales experience, what i could offer the company etc. An extensive knowledge of wine will give you an edge, but is not necessary for the job. i was never asked any specifics about wine, other than which wines i preferred.

I was asked to give a mock sales pitch, this was what i think got me the Job, be ready to give a mock sales pitch. I was originally asked to try and sell my interviewer a bottle of wine, but as i had more experience with other products i asked it if would be ok to give my interviewer a different pitch. As the familiar pitch i gave was comfortable and polished I was able to show my potential employer i had a decent sales acumen.
