I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial interview. The conversation went well, and I was told on the spot that I would move forward to a second interview the following week. However, communication after that was extremely unorganized. I didn’t receive a calendar invite until 11 p.m. the night before the interview, despite following up earlier days.
The next morning, my second interviewer joined late, seemed unprepared, and didn’t appear to know who I was. The interaction felt rushed and disinterested, which left a poor impression. I never received any follow-up or feedback afterward.
Two months later, I randomly got an email from the same recruiter offering me a completely different position — one I had never applied for. I reached out for clarification and never heard back again.
What made this more disappointing is that I met or exceeded every qualification listed for their original posting (including an MBA, multilingual skills, and over three years of high-volume retail management experience). The entire process felt careless and unprofessional.
Overall, communication was poor, the process disorganized, and even their benefits didn’t seem competitive. Based on my experience, I would not recommend applying.
