I applied and got an email back within a week or so, HR did my first interview and he was prompt to the meeting, very professional with explaining the company and my role. He answered all of my questions about the position and work environment, work environment was important as I came from a very toxic work environment previously. After the interview he got back to me right away about scheduling the second interview only two days later and after the second interview I got offered the position within an hour or two. Professional and Prompt would be my keywords. I've been in other interviews where they got back to me like two weeks later or I applied and hear back a month later about my application.

Entrevista
My interview process with Pajarito Powder consisted of two stages: an initial screening interview with the HR manager, followed by a second interview with the CFO.
The HR screening was fairly standard, but I quickly noticed that communication from the HR side was disorganized and inconsistent. Scheduling was vague, with unclear call times and last-minute reschedules communicated through emails without specific call windows. This made it difficult to properly prepare or plan, and when I tried returning calls or confirming times, I often received no response.
During the CFO interview, several red flags became apparent. The CFO openly discussed the company’s high turnover rate and mentioned working 70-hour weeks herself, which immediately raised concerns about work-life balance and company culture. It was clear that the company was understaffed and struggling to retain employees. The CFO also mentioned that, although the role was labeled as “accounting,” the job would require handling multiple different roles—FP&A, auditing, business management—without additional compensation or overtime pay.
Throughout the process, there was a sense of urgency from the company to move me through the hiring pipeline quickly, which felt less like valuing my candidacy and more like trying to fill a warm body in a seat. After receiving the offer, a minor miscommunication led to the offer being rescinded abruptly, further reinforcing my impression that the company lacked proper candidate management and respect for employees.
Overall, my interview experience exposed serious issues with management, workload expectations, compensation, and communication. While I appreciated the transparency regarding turnover, the combination of these factors ultimately made me decide not to proceed with employment.

Entrevista
We scheduled the interview, and day of I was ghosted and left sitting in the meeting room by myself for 20 minutes before I decided to leave and send an email. No one responded for days. Luckily for them, I let them know I was willing to reschedule, and we did. Day of the interview, I'm let into the meeting room late. Started out with them asking me a few questions that I answered. I was asked if I had any questions for them, to which I asked what their favorite part of their job was. They mentioned that they were passionate about renewable energy and didn't get that vibe from me. I asked why that was and they responded while rolling their eyes that I didn't even mention renewable energy once even though I was never asked about it until this point. Then they were making annoyed faces asking me to explain why I was interested in it considering my background is different. I had half a mind to end the interview there but decided to keep my professionalism and answer the question. Interview ended a minute after that. This is not the way to treat candidates, interviews go both ways and the candidate is also interviewing the company at the same time. Needless to say, I will be withdrawing my application.
