I only had one interview during their 1/week open-door interview sessions. Anyone who likes to apply for a job, just comes in to one of these open interviews and applies on the spot, no need to set up appointments. HR (Human Resource) department interviews each applicant individually. They look the way you present yourself (smiling is very important because as you've noticed in every 4-5 star hotel everyone smiles for a reason - it portrays kindness and a feeling of being welcomed). Interview goes for about 30 mins max. and they always tell you at the end they "will be in touch with you" (they don't hire on the spot) Couple days later you should know the answer by phone (if yes) or by email (if no).
