Entrevista
I applied online at Panavision New York in August 2024. I got a 1-hour in-person interview. They gave me a tour of the facility, and showed me briefly what I will be doing. Then I was in a room with the service manager. The questions were simple, less technical than I thought. Working with other people, time management, and on-set experience.

Entrevista

Entrevista
I applied via Indeed and received an email from the person overseeing recruitment for the role asking if I was free to discuss this position in more detail.
I sent over my availability using the link provided in the email and the next day I had my call.
I felt the screening call went well and the recruiter was friendly and also made the job sound really fun and appealling. At the end of the call I was asked if I was free the following day to speak to the hiring manager as he feels I would have been good for the role.
Although it was short notice I agreed and then filled in an application form (despite applying via Indeed) along with sending over the proof for right to work.
The next morning I had a call with the person overseeing recruitment along with the hiring manager. The recruiter remained on mute throughout the interview and only switched on the mic to introduce who would be conducting the interview. From start to finish the hiring manager didn't seem that interested in anything I had to say and appeared to be "going through the motions" regarding the responses they gave me.
Every answer of explaination I gave was followed up my a response of indifference or boredom. It was clear that they weren't interested in taking my application any further. At the end of the interview I was told that I would hear back from them the end of the following week as the Easter Bank Holiday was nearing, that was 4 weeks ago and I have heard nothing.
I wont be applying to Panavision any time in the near future and its really disrespectful to not even follow up with anything given the time I spent preparing for the interview and dropping things at short notice to accommodate them.
