Apply through the website then get a phone screen as the first step. The interview was fairly comfortable and easy. Mostly to get to know your customer service skills and your background.

My interview lasted about an hour. Manager didn’t know he had an interview that day or if he called me. Had to reassure him he was the one who called me.
Interview was convo style asking me a couple questions. He did repeat and asked the same questions I already answered in the beginning of the interview like asking me why I left my old job which means he wasn’t listening. This is also what the other reviews said about them probing why you left bc they’re trying to see if you’re loyal. Even if you left jobs due to personal reasons it is not good enough for them. They want you to be loyal and a long lasting employee and the salary is the bait they will use for those types of employees. I tried to be engaging and elaborated as much I could. In the end he told me it felt like he was talking to a sleepy person which offended me and disappointed me as I thought I was giving good answers about me/ my job history. He didn’t like that I wasn’t energizing or showing passion about the job which was confusing as I thought I had with my answers, even emphasize how much Peggy is an inspiration to me as a Burmese immigrant like myself. He dismissed that quickly and asked about other things about panda and changed the topic. I did not know panda wanted energetic people as that is not in the job posting and even so, that is not something that shows a persons work ethic which is something I called him out on. I also asked him if they only hired loud energetic people. I felt it was better to be authentic and tell him why I was a good fit rather than be someone I’m not. At the end he asked me about 4-5 times if I was ready and willing to work at panda which I think he was looking for me to convince him. Idk how much more convincing I could be esp with my job history with years of customer service working at other fast paced food places. It’s a job that serves food onto a platter… a job in which he also told me they hire high schoolers so I felt very looked down on. I have a bachelors with a full time job and I was looking for extra income so not sure why he made me feel like I was not fit for the job. Maybe they wanted someone totally committed to the job to move up, maybe they’re looking for pushovers. I felt that he didn’t really pay attention to my experience or understand who I was but rather just talked most of the time and rambled about panda. With my interview experience, I don’t think he will be a good leader so I will not be choosing to work at any panda restaurants which is disappointing as I thought panda was a good company..

Is was quick. Dress semi-professional, and relax. Its not a huge deal to interview here, it was very relaxed and the questions were simple. I was asked why i want to work there, what experience i have, and what i could bring to the table. I was asked specifically about my customer service skills, and providing positive customer service was clearly a top priority for the Boss.
