Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa PandaDoc.
Entrevista
Pros
The HR contact was professional and responsive.
The preparation document provided before the interviews was genuinely helpful and well-put-together; it is clear the team puts effort into candidate resources.
Cons
During the culture-fit round, I explicitly stated that, as a Ukrainian, I needed to minimize interaction with Russian nationals due to the trauma associated with the ongoing war.
Despite this prior warning, the scheduling team assigned a Russian interviewer for the system design round. This was deeply distressing, compromised my focus, and directly impacted my ability to perform during the technical assessment.
It felt like the company did not care about the valid concerns I raised.

Design a notification system in a system design interview

3 + 1 steps interview. It started with a relatively short standard call about the position/expectations, etc. Then, a behavioral interview was scheduled and conducted, and two technical interviews, general knowledge and system design, were conducted right next to it.
The behavioral section was pretty standard: it covered how you act in case of a conflict, what motivates you, what you're proud of, etc.
The general tech interview was a good one. No unrelated questions: I was joining a team in the billing domain, so we spoke about billing, challenges in that domain, and how I faced them in the past; knowledge about distributed systems was a must-have; then relatively deep into DB indexes, a few Python-related questions and a small code-review section. Everything was related to future responsibilities.
System design was fun but pretty standard. I didn't ace it thought
Everyone was friendly and professional at each step—special thanks to Inna for organizing everything.

Overall, the interview process was pretty straightforward, though scheduling times was not always easy. It involved 3-4 steps: a screening, a Hiring Manager interview (more akin to a behavioral interview), and a coding test.
In my case, the process was quite muddled. I passed the Hiring Manager interview, followed by a technical/coding interview that lasted 90 minutes. I was informed that I had passed, but the role I applied for had already closed. Subsequently, another role closed, and then I was supposed to have an interview with another team, but it turned out to be another Hiring Manager interview, similar to the first one. This was unexpected, but I proceeded regardless.
All the interviews were fairly positive until the last one with another Hiring Manager, which was quite peculiar. The questions, such as 'What is an engineer?' and other meaningless questions like during engineering manager or some management role interview, did not motivate me to continue with the process. Eventually, they declined my application after this interview. I suspect the role was either closed or some internal changes occurred, eliminating the need for the hire. Furthermore, they provided no substantial feedback, only a standard template saying, 'We've decided not to move forward with your application.

I don't remember any specific or hard questions. If you are preparing, prepare for standard Behaviour interview and coding. Nothing special.
