I applied via LinkedIn for a job with Paramount and during the week I received an email inviting me to a screening call so, I sent over my availability for the chat to go ahead. As I didn't receive confirmation of a time I sent another to check if my screening call was due to go ahead.
Later in the evening I received an email from the person who was going to be conducting the call that they would speak to me at 11am the following day. The day of my call came and I didn't hear anything. After waiting for 15 minutes I sent over an email asking if the call was still due to go ahead and within 30 minutes I received an email asking me to resend my cv and phone number as they couldn't find my application.
Before I was able to respond I received a call (an hour later than scheduled). What proceeded was a 15:36 call where the interviewer proceeded to say they couldn't find my application hence why the call was late (no apology was offered) . The interviewer then asked me why I applied for the role along with what skills I could bring which I felt were beneficial. Additionally, I was asked to speak slower which caught me off guard as I didn't feel I was speaking particularly fast and then the interviewer asked me if I received a bonus in my previous role. When I replied the interviewer appeared bored by my responses and came across quite dismissive when I was explaining what I was currently doing.
At the end of the call I was told my cv would be put forward despite my background primarily being in contract catering and hospitality rather than film.
This was not a positive screening call and left me feeling dejected.
