Introductory interview with recruiter, followed by 3 case interviews. First with an Associate Principal, second with a partner and the last with a director. The recruiter gives feedback on each of the case interviews before you progress and the person who you interview with will vouch for you into each next stage. It was an excellent interview process, they aren’t trying to catch you out.

The company made it unclear if I was was interviewing for Associate or Sr. Associate role. Awful communication from recruiting team overall. Case interview time was changed three times. It was radio silence from the company for over two weeks after the case interview despite several follow-ups. Once they let me know that I would not be moving forward, they offered to give me a feedback session. Although, the recruiter didn't show up to the session even though it was the time they chose. Not a good experience and don't expect them to value your time.

Interview Process: - Two casual interviews with recruiter to better understand role (i.e. asking that you're actually okay with traveling most weeks and interested in mining industry) and prep for case interview. - Recruiter sent resources to prep for case interview - Case interview was about 90 minutes. About 30 minutes of behavioral questions and the rest was the case interview. Case involved managing expenses for contractors.

It started with a call from a recruiter. The recruiter then set up two video calls with their existing consultants for me to ask all the questions I could think of in one-hour phone calls.
Following these three separate calls, the actual interview process began and was supposed to have three interviews. The first interview was scheduled with a recruiter from the USA office, while the second and third were scheduled with partners in the UK office. It seemed strange to me that a recruiter was to conduct the case interview as this was likely not her area of expertise. Overall, I felt that the interview process was not fair and did not allow me to show my strengths.
The interview had two parts: fit followed by case.
FIT: The guidance from PIP before the interview was that the questions would be open ended. However, the interviewer spent about a minute providing specific details on what she was looking for in each of the questions which meant I had to tell the best stories for the question as opposed to the best stories for the firm. Her follow up questions to the fit questions were also very specific, such as asking about the type of work I had done at a firm two jobs ago, instead of leaving it open ended so I could tell her about my most relevant experience.
CASE: According to the materials provided by PIP ahead of time a value driver tree approach was recommended for solving their cases. The UK PIP recruiter had provided links to various sources on value driver trees; interestingly, most were not created by PIP but by other consulting firms and there were few examples of different types. PIP could work on providing better materials to candidates.
From what I had heard about PIP, I was expecting a more collaborative approach by my interviewer during the case. She did not probe for further ideas from me or make any suggestions for things I could do differently, it was very much an individual affair. The solution was to find ways to increase customers to a barber shop, and the interviewer agreed with this approach, but I thought they should have used a case where a client needed something done more efficiently. The weird case may have been because I had a recruiter giving me the interview and not an actual consultant.
I was not successful in the interview and thus my second and third interviews were cancelled.
