I applied for Senior Backend Engineer at PayPay Securities and took the online CodeSignal test. I finished all 2 questions and passed all of the test cases in less than an hour. After 4 days of silence, they rejected me without explanation.

I interviewed at PayPay Tokyo. The whole process took a couple of months. It was well organized, interviewers were never late and prepared. I went through several rounds including HR, technical interviews and final interview. All the interviews up to the final one felt relatively light hearted, with interesting challenges and questions. The final stage felt much more serious and somewhat hard to read, and no feedback was provided after the rejection. Overall, the process was professional, but my impression was that the final interview carried the most weight, so candidates should be prepared for that. Described process: 1.
