The interview was fine but mid interview the interviewer tells me that they already hired for my position and that they didn’t have any open positions at this time. WHY would you waste 20 minutes of someone’s time and not just send them an update to say the position is closed.

Typical phone screening interview - met with a recruiter via phone, exchanged info, but the position they had posted wasn't open. They offered to keep me up to date via their portal, but by the time I got a notification of an opening I had secured another position.

2 rounds both panel. First round was with hiring manager and another product manager on team. Next round with was another group product manager and director. Entire process took about 2-3 weeks

Interview process was very thorough. However, on-site was a requirement. The managers were very kind. They used their own ATS system. The recruiter was on top of everything. It would be nice if the interviews were remote.
