Fairly typical multi step technical interview. First interview was a phone interview with a technical recruiter. Questions were focused on personality, work methods, etc. This first interview took roughly 20 minutes. Second interview was a technical skills test mostly covering Java. There were also a few questions about design patterns and general object oriented programming. This interview was a little over 30 minutes long. Third interview was in person, first with the technical recruiter, then with the hiring manager and several developers from the team. The discussion covered past experience, interests & aspirations and a discussion of what the role would involve. This interview lasted about an hour.
