I interviewed with Pegasus Tech Ventures for a Marketing Director role and found the process disorganized and concerning. The process included multiple interviews and an in-person meeting with the CEO, during which an additional person was unexpectedly brought in without notice. Throughout the interviews, there was no clear definition of the role or what problem this hire was meant to solve. The position had been open for months with no clear direction. During my interview, the CEO repeatedly showed me articles about himself on his phone, asked me to use his phone to ask ChatGPT where the company ranked, and stated they were the top “VC-as-a-service” firm. He also described one associate as having a 170 IQ, comparing them to Einstein, and said this person makes most key decisions. At that point I was not interested however I never heard from them again and the role is still active...so beware! I would not advise anyone to take this role even if you are desperate, it appears very shady!

Initial screen, simple enough—scheduled a meeting, no show. Round two—no show. Round three—surprise, no show again. When I politely asked what was up, suddenly it’s my fault for “missing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” Checked Glassdoor/did google searches, discovered the founder has a run-ins with the law. This company doesn’t just fail the smell test, the trash is on fire. Basically, they slap a “VC mystique” sticker on the door to lure people in, only to exploit them under the guise of being “in the game.” Exploitative to the max. Stay away.
