I had a recruiter reach out to me. She was very forthcoming and quite friendly. We went through a phone screen. Had an interview set up three weeks later. Interview goes very well. Then suddenly, I am ghosted. Not just by the hiring managers but also the recruiter. No response to calls, emails, or LinkedIn. Absolutely ghosted, not even a courtesy call or email.

How do you handle situations of where a client is being difficult?

The first step is a quick phone screen with HR. Then, they schedule you a video (Teams) meeting with your potential department manager(s). An assessment is to be completed prior to the meeting with the managers. Said assessment is, I believe, a combination of behavioral and some version of an IQ. I found the behavioral portion to be a bit difficult in the sense, some questions had no obvious answers. I did my best to provide honest answers, though some questions truthfully were subjective. One such question, I was sure would cause me to fail the overall assessment. It was "I have never lost my temper". Well, I have never lost my temper at work, but surely as a young child I lost my temper on occasion. I, however, chose true because I applied all questions to pertain in a business and/or professional setting.

Entrevista
The first interview was by phone followed up by an in-person interview. The people seemed very nice and I was very surprised that I did not get the job since my qualifications and skills are excellent.

When I didn't get the job, I thought back to the interview and remembered that the questions were not the normal interview questions. "Did you ever have to report someone and if so, what was it for?" Why would I get that question in an interview? Other questions seemed repetitive as if they were trying to uncover deception. It seemed like they had a theory X management style, which to me is very disruptive and counterproductive.
