An executive search firm contacted me to qualify me as a candidate. The next week, I had multiple phone interviews, one of which was scheduled the day of, not by me but by them. Then, nothing for weeks. Followed by a virtual interview with the hiring manager, once again followed by weeks of nothing. Then, an in-person interview followed by a week of nothing. I was eventually told that they went in a different direction because they felt a better connection with a different candidate. The role was interesting, and I believe it is a good one. However, the interviewing process is very sloppy and may indicate a general lack of organization.
