Applied online and was contacted by an internal recruiter. Seemed like a good discussion - not only for the role I applied to but he pointed out some additional roles that he thought would match my skills. Despite that, the recruiter did not respond to any follow-up status checks. Just an unprofessional experience.

This is probably the best hiring process I had a chance to go through.
Let's start with the recruiter which was very professional and pleasant. The interview was a two hour session with the Engineering Director and additional engineering manager .
