Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fiz uma entrevista na empresa PepsiCo (Edison, NJ).
Entrevista
Had a brief phone screen and was actually skipped to the final round because the recruiter felt I was very qualified (I have a college degree and have years of grocery experience). I had a panel interview which I was asked roughly 4 very basic HR mandated questions that anybody could answer. Now, I answered the questions very well and came across well. You can call this sour grapes but I was not made an offer and I am thinking it is because I am over-qualified. I am a hard worker and physically active, this work would have been a piece of cake for me. My guess is that this company is looking for dim-witted "yes" men and women who will not question things and just do as they're told. I had asked about what the steps were to move up within the company and I am thinking they felt threatened by this. Frito-Lay, don't you think it would look good for you guys to say that you have college educated employees in such a low level position? All of my e-mails to ask about what went into the decision have gone unanswered, which to me is unprofessional. You are well within your right to ask a company what went into their decision, especially when the recruiter skips you through to the final round after a phone interview.

The interview was more than frustrating for me. I arrived 10 minutes early to an empty lobby. I figured they were busy and there wasn't a bell to ring or anything to that effect. I sat there for about 15 minutes when the next interviewer came in. We began speaking and about 30 minutes later, somebody finally came out. They came to speak with that interviewer and allegedly, I was not on the roster. I offered to reschedule since I had the free time and was told their scheduler was on vacation for two weeks so they didn't want to make me wait that long. They got me into an office with somebody who clearly had other things they were taking care of and seemed annoyed by being pulled away to interview me. After the third eye roll and frustrated sigh with an explanation of benefits I've already read, I reiterated that I am more than happy to reschedule if they needed me to. I was not asked any questions about previous employment, just given information about the company followed by a signing of a sheet claiming I knew what was explained to me. At this point, I thought either they already knew they weren't going to hire me, or the interviewer believed it was onboarding information and not an interview. He rushed through everything and in a spin I was back out front with a promise of a callback. About a week later, I was declined and frustrated as it felt like they didn't even give me an opportunity.
