      Candidatura

Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Peraton (Maryland City, MD).

      Entrevista

I applied for a position at Peraton in October 2025 and attended Peraton's virtual hiring event in November of 2025. I received an initial interview early January about the position. I succeeded through 3 rounds of interviews to eventually receive an offer letter that I accepted. I attended a Townhall meeting for all new hires about the contract, details, and onboarding in February 2026. I had true belief that this was a solid deal, and all I needed to do was complete all paperwork and background checks required. In the contract it did state that it is not an offer of employment and the customer has to approve and position availability. However, since the Townhall meeting in February, I received several communications from recruiting that candidates were moving forward but there were delays with paperwork, onboarding, and start dates (please be patient). Late March I emailed recruiting that the final part on my end had been completed. Recruiting got back to me with this exact response: “Thank you for following up and for completing your background interview. At this time, we are still waiting for the results and any subsequent approvals to be finalized. I understand that the waiting period can be stressful, and I truly appreciate your patience. As soon as we have any updates regarding next steps or your start date, I will reach out immediately.” In the 2nd week of April, I was informed that they would be rescinding my offer because the position was no longer available. It was never emphasized at any point after signing the offer that there would be a possibility that a position would not be approved. Transparency is key, and I am highly disappointed in the candidate process. Candidates invest time, money, research, and preparation with any business opportunity. Unfortunately, given the length and uncertainty including lack of transparency during the hiring process I highly advise you to continue your job search if you accept an offer letter at this organization.
