Communication from the hiring manager and recruitment was extremely disappointing, the worst interview within animal welfare I have ever experienced. The hiring manager specifically was avoidant, and lacked basic communication skills.

6 interviews over several months only to be told my skill set did not match what they were looking for. I always initiated follow-up communication. I was honestly most disappointed by the lack of feedback. I made it to the interview with the president.

Initial interview with recruiter went well, and was even pleasant, until there was mention of issues with other interviewees. The recruiter mentioned to me, in so many words, that he was having a hard time finding people to hire that didn’t have too thick of accents from particular countries. The next interview with the hiring supervisor was chaotic and rushed. It started late and then they only had 20 minutes to chat. They asked if I actually knew all of the tools listed on my resume. They also gave contrasting info regarding the hybrid options and how the interview process would go, versus what the recruiter gave.
