The first step was the interview with the hiring manager, it was fine. Then I was invited to a Codility test with algorithms, it was pretty standard and not particularly difficult. The next step was an hour-long call with IT people from Picnic. Was asked to describe my professional experience, we discussed my previous projects, etc. Then they asked me to implement a pseudocode-like solution ("this dictionary is your database" kind of nonsense) to some poorly specified business problem ("here's the hypothetical external API and we have to use it to update prices in the database, get to it"). There was nothing hard about it, but it was too vague and pointless. The communication from their end was not good either, even seemed toxic in the end (like my fate has already been decided and they couldn't wait to get off the call).
