Unethical. Went through a long interview process after the hiring manager reached out to me via LinkedIn for a position I had previously applied for. Was led on for 6 months, with written and verbal messages indicating I would be getting an offer, but was simply waiting to send the official letter. I was strung along for weeks with a different excuse each week as to why the letter was delayed. At the 11th hour, I was told that their needs for the position had changed (which were vastly different than what had been expressed during the process) and they tried to place the blame on ME, rather than following proper protocol. The hiring manager did not even call me to relay the message, she had someone from HR do it even after I had solely been communicating with the hiring manager for 6 months. Only after I requested a call, did she speak with me. Hiring manager took no responsibility for her complete lack of professionalism, disrespect and unethical behavior. If someone were to read the exchange of messages between me and the hiring manager, they would be dumbfounded.
