The phone interview was conversational and felt strong. I shared clear examples of how I’ve solved similar problems, demonstrated familiarity with best practices, and aligned my experience with their systems and challenges.
Despite this, I wasn’t selected for a second round, which was surprising and discouraging after days of preparation. It’s a reminder that sometimes hard work and strong preparation don’t translate into the final outcome, especially in bureaucratic hiring processes where factors outside your control can outweigh performance.
