Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fui entrevistado pela Pinkston (Washington, DC) em fev. de 2026
Entrevista
I was heavily recruited by an external job agency to interview for this role.
I engaged in a multi-week interview process with Pinkston for a Senior Account Manager (crisis) role. The recruiter was responsive and communicative, but the overall structure of the process was unusual, and things truly felt off.
Over approximately three weeks, the majority of the discussion centered around compensation flexibility at their request (not mine) — before I ever had the opportunity to speak with the hiring manager directly. It was clear they want a minion for this role who doesn't think beyond what they're told to do.
The role had reportedly been open for a considerable amount of time and was initially budgeted lower before being adjusted upward. Hybrid flexibility is non-negotiable despite market norms trending towards flexibility in comparable agencies in major and tier-two markets.
As previously stated, the emphasis on compensation concessions and in-office policy occurred prior to mutual fit being assessed at the leadership level, which made the process feel mis-sequenced. Ultimately, the firm chose not to move forward. Trust me when I say I feel like I dodged a headache.
For candidates considering the firm:
Expect a structured, in-office culture.
Expect compensation and policy discussions early, and with zero flexibility.
Be prepared for firm adherence to internal in-office standards.
There were no issues with professionalism in communication cadence, but alignment on structure and expectations appears to be a gating factor.

Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Pinkston (Falls Church, VA).

I did an initial zoom interview with one of the VPs at the company. I didn't hear anything back for about 3 weeks. I then had to do a panel interview with three Senior Account Managers. The panel interview wasn't too bad. It can be awkward if the people interviewing you aren't synced up on who's going to ask what when. Overall, it was a moderate process. Not too crazy, not too easy.
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Pinkston em fev. de 2025
Entrevista
I had my first interview with Pinkston in January 2025 with a Director. That was your standard first interview, and I enjoyed my time with this person. It was professional and straightforward. I heard back about a week or two later to schedule my second interview with one of their VPs. This second interview took place in February. The VP I virtually met with was a little late which was no big deal, but the professionalism was very different compared to my first interview. In all, I felt like it went pretty well and we event went past our schedule time which I thought was a positive indicator. At the end of the call the VP told me I would hear back from them in about a week, after which I was completely ghosted. I even sent multiple follow-up emails inquiring about my application status and whether I was still being consider. There was no response to any of these emails. I would have rather received an automated rejection email rather than silence considering I put time and effort into the interviews. I understand this industry is extremely busy, but ghosting candidates after multiple interview rounds is pretty unprofessional.
