Entrevista
Oh my God. First there was the recruiter phone interview. Nailed that. Then the manager interview. Nailed that. Then she brought me in to meet three team members. Nailed that. Then I didn't hear anything for about a week. Then they asked me to do some work for them (I'd be paid my freelance rate.) Now I already had a job, and didn't need the money. But do I refuse the work and look like I don't want the job, or do I just put my foot down and say I don't have the time -- take me or leave me. I compromised. I gave them concepts but no executions. They said I did great work and paid me. Then they said it was between me and this other guy. A while later, they said they went with the other guy ... BUT ... they wanted another writer and they told him to talk to me. Can you imagine how excited this guy was to interview the person he almost lost his job to?
So about 4 weeks after the most awkward job interview I've ever had, the recruiter called to tell me I didn't get the job. Duh. It's a good thing after that horrible interview, I didn't want to work there anyway.
