Applied online for the position and had them email back wanting to schedule a phone interview. The emails were very professional and well written. The phone interview was quite the opposite of the email correspondence. I'm not sure if the person performing the interview was having a bad day or didn't like my resume but it was just awful. I answered the phone and as soon as I said hello he went into this ultra fast overview of their company. He basically took the story about how Facebook started and tailored it for Portlight, how they started in a dorm room and have now done millions in sales. From there he ran through some very typical interview questions, as soon as I finished talking he was already onto the next question. Towards the end of the call I got to ask a few questions about how their company works and I got the quickest, most basic, answers that I could have possibly gotten. The entire call took less than 10 minutes. Hopefully their phone interviews don't typically go like this and there was just some reason they didn't like me before calling because it was horrible. I can't imagine them attracting any good talent with this type of interview.
