I was asked about my experience in Agriculture and overseeing operations. HR and Country Director proceeded to ask my availability and for references as this was the only interview required due to my experience. After a week of them having my references (which were from very busy directors/executives), I never received any follow up at all. I then followed up 3 weeks later and received an email that the organization was moving forward with someone else. There is definitely a lack of professionalism and integrity as I was led on throughout the process and had to continue to initiate communication for a status. Ethics is missing here. Do not ignore candidates and do not waste their references' time.
